Activities in Småland
There is a lot to discover in Smaland. Families in particular will find exciting activities within an hour's drive of the holiday home.
There are many nature reserves and the coast is ideal for hiking.
Smaland is also ideal for cyclists. Whether relaxed and touristic or ambitious. There are beautiful forest paths with a firm surface. But there are also small tarmac roads with little traffic. All in all, Smaland is very suitable for relaxed cycling. Interaction on the roads is peaceful and reserved.

Astrid Lindgren's field
A large park with various areas where Astrid Lingren's stories are re-enacted. Pippi Longstocking, Michel from Löneberga, etc.
You can easily spend half a day or more here. The journey from us takes about an hour.
Kleva Gruva
The historic mine near Vetlanda is ideal for children. But be careful: the temperature in the mine is between 0C and 5C. Wear winter clothing!
Fishing in Småland
Småland has many lakes that are perfect for fishing. You can hire our fishing equipment for 20 euros a day.
Four lakes within a maximum 30-minute radius of our house are suitable for fishing. You can buy the necessary fishing licence online. For one or more days: www.ifiske.se
If you want to buy your own fishing rod or accessories, the best place to go is Bengtssons. It's about an hour's drive along lonely roads through beautiful countryside. You can really get everything here with professional advice: Bengtssons
Trolley ride - Smalspåret
There are three different routes. We think the one from Hultsfred is the best, but the ones from Flaten and Viserum are also great. Children love it and can ride along as a passenger on a bench seat - without having to pedal. Hultsfred is about 50 minutes from us, Viserum about 25 minutes.
Kalmar Castle
A great castle in Kalmar - the surrounding area is also beautiful, with a beach and meadow. Lots of activities for children. About a 1:20 hour drive from us.
Grönåsens Älgpark
Moose park in Kosts, about an hour away from us. You can spend about 1:30 hours in the park and get very close to the moose.
Borgholm Castle
Brogholm Castle on the island of Öland. You can spend about two hours here.
